MORNING, MY DARLINGS. I hope you’re having a great day so far. I’m off work today, so I’ll only be blog-hopping a little before going off to do absolutely nothing. It’s going to be glorious. My aunt is watching Will today, so I really get a full on break. It’s gonna be great. Hopefully.

FRIDAY, AFTER WORK – To be honest, it’s Monday morning, and I don’t remember anything we did Friday night. I’m on day…like six or seven of a headache and it’s killing my memory. It stinks. I think we maybe watched more Sandman? We’re really enjoying it.

SATURDAY – Saturday, we went to the library for the first time with Will. We got him so many board books. He really seemed to like it — he was walking all over the place and pointing at everything. Hopefully soon they’ll bring back things like storytime and things for smaller kids like him. Right now, all the libraries have are programs for older children. COVID pretty much killed everything else.

SUNDAY – Sunday morning, Will was having a rough go. He’d fallen off the bed while we were playing, and after that every little thing just made him burst into tears. He’s fine! I do want you to know that — not even a bump from his fall — he just scared himself, I think. I went grocery shopping in the morning. (I am so tired of how EXPENSIVE everything is!!) Then after Will woke up from his nap, we went out for a bit just me and him. We went to a local toy store — he loved that — and then we went to Barnes and Noble where he picked out…all of the things. I did not buy him any of the things, but he certainly picked things out!)

I’m spotlighting a book I bought last week when it was on sale for the Kindle. I’m a sucker for fantasy books about thieves, and that’s what this one looks like to me! Here’s hoping it’s good – the reviews seem decent, though! Have you ever read The Legend of Eli Monpress?

the book cover for Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler

Eli Monpress is talented. He’s charming. And he’s a thief.

But not just any thief. He’s the greatest thief of the age – and he’s also a wizard. And with the help of his partners – a swordsman with the most powerful magic sword in the world but no magical ability of his own, and a demonseed who can step through shadows and punch through walls – he’s going to put his plan into effect.

The first step is to increase the size of the bounty on his head, so he’ll need to steal some big things. But he’ll start small for now. He’ll just steal something that no one will miss – at least for a while.

Like a king.

Here’s hoping you and yours have a great week!
