TOP TEN TUESDAY – BOOKS OVER 10 YEARS OLD

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. The topic this week is BOOKS I LOVE THAT WERE WRITTEN OVER 10 YEARS AGO. Pretty sure this one will be easy, but let’s see as I go through my FAVORITES folder on Goodreads.

I had no idea how old some of these were. The oldest of the bunch is Outlander, which was originally published in 1990. The newest is The Raven Boys, which was published in 2012. That one just squeaks into the prompt, so that’s going for me! What’s the oldest book that made your list this week?

  1. This is the second list I’ve seen with The Song of Achilles…definitely one I’ve been wanting to read for a while now. And, btw, my copy of Sabriel finally arrived late last week for the read-a-long!! *happy dance* It got lost in the purgatory of third party shipping services along the NY tristate corridor haha the worst.

  2. It‘s so strange to think that Outlander was first published that long ago. It seems like it‘s only been a few years or so since it became really popular.
I loved A Discovery of Witches too! A few of these are on my TBR so I may need to nudge them a bit up on the priority list.

  3. My oldest were mid-1980s this week. I share your soft spot for The Night Circus and Locke Lamora (although – believe it or not – it took the ENTIRE BOOK for The Night Circus to convince me. I loved the aesthetic, hated the romance, and then that epilogue about storytelling got me right between the eyes).
